VAPE !!!! Why am I against it?

I am sorry if what I am going to write has deviate a bit from the facts and will make some of you guys angry at me. Writing this doesn't mean I am hating you guys instead concern clouds my mind and my heart.

A few hours ago, there's too much debate regarding government decision to legalize vape usage and sales in Malaysia. I'm not going to write in regards to Islamic ruling though I agree with the fatwa committee. I had read some journals that had done research on vape or e-cigarette issue. Yes, the results showed that vape usage is much healthier alternative compared to normal cigarette. Why is that?

Normal cigarette is harmful because its involve the burning process of tobacco. While this happen, many chemicals that used in tobacco processing are released and directly inhaled into the lungs. Some of these chemicals are known as carcinogenic or can cause cancer to human. Vape in contrast, doesn't involve tobacco burning and make it a safer option to smoker.

So, why am I against vape? First of all, although they say vape are safer, can influence smokers to stop smoking and some of the smokers feel healthier when they started using vape, it is a fact that chemicals are still being used in vape. Although these chemicals are somewhat LESS harmful  and the dosage is much lower than the normal cigarette, people still expose to the chemicals.

Research articles stating that vape is safe to be used but some articles still concern about its long-term effect or chronic effect to the users. Why is this? Because even for normal cigarette, it takes decades of research to discover the direct association of cancer with tobacco while extensive research on vape just started on 2010 and the earliest article on vape was publish in 2008.

Take note on this. Cancer or chronic health effects happens when users are exposed to LOW DOSAGE of chemicals in a LONG TIME and it may take up until 30 years for the cancer to develop inside human body. Besides, vape are proven containing nicotine and health experts are concern on nicotine addiction among vape users. Smokers feel healthier  are mostly because of psychological effect instead of the vape usage itself.

Second, kids may get influence and start using vape. Chances are as kids get older, they started looking for alternative other than vape which is the normal cigarette. We never know what kids are thinking and kids are known as curious creature and they like to try new things. There's a lot of pictures posted in social media showing kids are being exposed to vape and some adults make them try it. This kind of behaviour should not be accepted.

Third, manner should be observe. Whoever thought vape is okay to be use inside of a room because of the flavour enhancer in its solution, think again and think thoroughly. People are annoyed of this behaviour. It's distracting especially if users use it during office hours and this only shows your disrespect towards other people.

I hope my writing can get at least get someone to think about this issue but I am sure people are not that concern about vape effects as there are still many who smoke normal cigarette although they surely know about its chronic effects. I surely hope the smoking banned will also be used for vape in public areas. If you guys still wanted to use vape, then use it away from kids and indoor areas. Lastly, I am against vape and surely am against normal cigarette.

I am happy that our health minister is also having great concern on this issue. Hoping for a healthy nation. Peace for all ! ^_^

p/s: this is my entry in Facebook and I just feel the need to post it here. Thank you for reading!

Another degree received!

Anneyong !!!!

Yup, it's been a loooong time since I updated my last entry here. Sorry, a bit busy with classes, assignments and research project. And it's worth it! On October 19th, 2015, I was awarded with Master's degree from University of Malaya. Yay ~

I had chose a coursework master's degree which literally mean my weekend schedules were full with classes. I was really nervous when entered my first class. However, fret not, teaching style between master's degree and undergraduate degree was different. In first degree classes, we were thought with lots of facts and as for me, I was really meek and afraid to ask questions in class. But I never thought I could be different in master's degree. I was able to voice out my opinions and actively involved in classes activities such as tutorials, presentations and assignments. Even the lecturers were advising us to throw out our ideas bravely.

So, friends out there who wishes to pursue master's degree, don't be afraid. You will find the classes interesting and you will befriend with different types of people with various fields and experience. For me, I am currently searching for job and also searching for an opportunity to pursue my study in PhD. Wish me luck !!

I'm off for now. Bye ~ !!!! ^_^

Sekadar mengingati diri ...

Oh hati...
Betapa sucinya kau ketika dulu
Putih dan suci seperti salju
Dari dosa hitam yang cuba membelenggu
Oleh syaitan yang dihalau dari Jannah Tuhanmu.

Oh hati...
Tika mula bisikan berbunyi
Memaksa memilih yang suci atau keji
Menerima akhirat atau duniawi
Memilih Jahannam atau Firdausi

Oh hati...
Tika kau mula dinodai
Titik hitam mula tumbuh bagai cendawan
Kau mula membisik dusta dan mimpi
Mengajak manusia  membelakangi Tuhan

Oh hati...
Makin parah keadaanmu
Makin jauh manusia dari kebenaran
Menolak cahaya suci yang merindu
Alunan al-Quran yang jauh ketinggalan

Oh hati...
Izinkanlah kau dirawati
Dengan al-Quran, hadis dan zikir yang syahdu
Cuba membersih titik hitam yang mengotori
Menjadikan kau patuh pada Tuhanmu

Oh hati...
Tika mula kau dikuasai
Al-Quran dan hadis penyeri diri
Jalan akhirat mula didekati
Cahaya syurga mula dimimpi

Oh hati...
Tika nikmat dunia disyukuri
Nama Tuhan dan Rasulnya sentiasa dipuji
Tika kau mula memikir akhirat dan mati
Syurga Firdausi menanti diri.

The boredom that leads me to think ~

image from:http://www.delvispeaks.com/?p=5
"The world does not revolve around you alone"

I've came across this sentence many times. Through reading, and dramas. Neither I got someone say this phrase to me nor I utters this to someone else. The last time I've came across this phrase, it seeped through my mind and I thought "That's right !".

Why? Why would people use this phrase sometimes? I suddenly thought about this one day when I sit alone in the office. No customer that time. It's raining.. I felt bored and just clicking away the bored I feel when I've came across this simple phrase. This phrase is simple but it never simple as it seems to be.
image from:http://justsimplyinlove.wordpress.com/%E2%99%A1-my-evolution-of-love-world-%E2%99%A1/
One action you made will affect someone or many people. That's the conclusion that I came upon to. That's right, the world never revolve around you alone as one action from you can make others suffer or happy.

When you decided to accept the offer from one university or job, other people will be rejected. When you decided to marry someone, the life of your partner's family will be affected and maybe someone's heart will be hurt.

Even a simple thing like buying ice-cream will affect the others. Some kids would get jealous by seeing you buying the ice-cream and would get their parents buy it for them. When you bought the ice-cream, the money will increase the profit of the seller and eventually will increase profit of the factory or place that made the ice-cream. The owner then, can pay the salary of the workers there. If you bought the ice-cream for someone, that someone either will be happy because its her/his favourite or angry because it's not the thing he/she wants or sad because the ice-cream would remind him/her the bad memories.

So, the phrase got me to think these much and I agree with it. Because I know, one action or decision that I made will affect others' life and it's my duty as a human being to think carefully every decision that I will make even though I couldn't predict the outcome of the decision. It's your choice whether to agree with me or not. But at least I have made you guys think even a little when you reading this. Right? ^_^

Hmmm.... Not so bad ~

Assalamualaikum...

Yo, yo, yo ~ !!! What's up, brothers and sisters, sir and madam? Hehe...

Many may wonder why I wrote my posts some in Malay and the other time in English. Simple, I'm a Malay girl and I can speak English. If I know how to speak in Mandarin, Japanese and Korean, I will also write in those languages. Unfortunately, I can't. -_-"

For today's post , I want to tell about the hotel that I'd recently stayed in Georgetown, Pulau Pinang, Malaysia. My friend, N, and I were really rushing to go there since we need to meet with a group of people. We drive-through  KFC and bought a quick lunch and we ate in the car. It's almost 4 when we left Alor Setar toll. We get to stay in Hotel Sentral Georgetown for our accommodation. When I wanted to set the GPS to the hotel, I searched and searched. Nope, nothing came out. I'd try different names for the hotel. It's stated no matches found. I give up. After we entered Penang, I tried again. I tried searching in point of interest for Garmin and search for near lodgings. Finally, the name came out on the screen.

We followed the GPS, entered the supposed alley and it brought us to the old Sentral Hotel. Argh! N and I complaint in the car. It's the alley after that ! 아이고 ~ ... Finally we arrived at the hotel.

the front view of the Hotel Sentral Georgetown
After we checked-in, we were told that we got room 113 as the group that we need to meet had booked the room for a night for us. When we entered the room, I had a thought in my head. "Ermm, not that bad. Quite a nice room."

the bed that I saw first when entering the room (King size)
The upper cupboard contain a safe box and the dark square at the bottom is fridge

Mirror in the washroom

Toilet beside the shower
"The TV is not that strategic", I thought.
From the window in our room, we could clearly see the KOMTAR, which can also be seen from the Penang Bridge. We rested, bathed, and prayed before going out that night. For Muslims, it may be difficult to find halal restaurants since near the lodging, you could find plenty of Chinese restaurants. So, we decided to eat at the Old Town White Coffee (OTWC), just 5 minutes driving distance from the hotel.

The ambiance is really cozy at night. I felt really calm but the calmness couldn't suppress my hunger. Hehehe... ^_~  Well, what do you expect when you had a burger from KFC for lunch? An extreme hunger !!! So, we ordered and ate. I chose my favourite drink whenever I came here: Cold Old Town Whifte Coffee ~ !!! Yummy ~ Oh, oh.. OTWC is also beside the Starbucks coffee...! So, those who enjoy coffee and wanted to hang out with friends, you can come here and choose the place yourselves. Hmmm...

I really want to go there but since I already had my coffee intake, maybe next time.. Hiks...
So, we stayed at the hotel for one night and after we met and discuss some matters with the group, we went back home. We didn't really went for shopping. If you want to go shopping, there are a few of shopping centers near the hotel: Perangin mall, Penang Times Square and a little far from hotel, Gurney Plaza. However, if you find those shopping centres are not enough for you, there's plenty of others there in Penang. Just search in your GPS or Googled it from your smart phone, you can find your way. It really helps you when using GPS inside Penang. The road can be really confusing.

Well, that's all from me this time. I hope you'll enjoy your day and have fun in life. For Muslims, don't forget to perform your duty towards our Creator ~ "Amal Maaruf Nahi Mungkar". Take care !

Bukit Pelindung, dakian pertama aku !

Sebelum memulakan pendakian, kami stretching dulu. Ini bagi mengelakkan kekejangan ketika pendakian. Selepas itu, kami membaca doa agar dipermudahkan pendakian dan mengelakkan kejadian tak diingini berlaku (padahal, bukit tu tak dak la tinggi sangat pun. Hehe... gaya macam nak daki gunung kinabalu je.. =p).

Ketika mula mendaki... muka masing2 happy jer

Mula-mula mendaki, aku ok lagi.. Sampai di pit-stop pertama aku dah muntah-muntah. Jadi, kepada pembaca di luar sana yang ingin mendaki, take your breakfast before hiking. Ini la kesilapan aku pada hari itu. Aku memulakan pendakian dengan perut kosong. Nasib baik ada candy dalam beg aku. So, sepanjang pendakian aku asyik mengulum candy ini.

X sama macam kat rumah ^_^

Spectacular view, isn't it? ^_^
Di puncak, inilah pemandangan yang dapat dilihat. Sangat cantik dan aku sangat teruja melihat view ini. Nasib kami baik kerana cuaca baik pada hari itu. Selepas melepaskan penat, sesi mengambil gambar pun bermula. Masing-masing mula mengeluarkan kamera. Macam-macam posing la yang kitorang buat. Hehe... Selepas beberapa ketika kami pun mula bersiap-sedia untuk turun. Perjalanan turun lebih mudah namun kami masih hati-hati kerana tanah agak licin. Kami menggunakan track yang sama untuk turun.

gambar favourite aku untuk pendakian kali ini

Pelik tengok akar pokok yang bersimpul ni. Macam tali pulak.
Kami semua menjerit kegembiraan kerana berjaya menamatkan pendakian.

I am Me, myself and only me...

Assalamualaikum warahmatullah ^_^

Hi, I'm new here. I don't even know whether I'll be able to updating my blog here. Almost all my friends know me as Lynn Roze but my schoolmates would always call me Malynn. I'm from Alor Setar, Kedah located on Peninsular Malaysia, more towards the north. Haha, am I right about the location? Sorry if it's wrong.
The above picture shows my siblings and I. It's from the time I had my convocation (October 2012). From the very left : Epan, Nan, me, Amin, and Nu'man. Hahaha, yup! I'm the only daughter in my family. That's also mean I have a heavy burden in the area of cooking and cleaning the house. Hehehe... but I'm happy I can help my mama to the chores although sometimes I'm whining about it. I mean, who doesn't? =p
As my blog's title, I'm just a simple girl. i don't care much about make up or fashion. Which means I don't even know the latest creation of I-don't-know-the-name fashion designer. However, I do have my interest in heels, sandals and all that have the name of shoes. I do know the effects and consequences of wearing heels but sometimes it's difficult to stop the interest. I hope I can stop wearing heels someday in the future. In Shaa Allah ~
I just hope I can be the loyal slave to Allah although it's difficult to achieve it. I'm not that knowledgeable in Islamic knowledge but I do want to gain it in order to be the best Muslim. I am a sinner and may Allah forgive me for all the sins that I've done. Astaghfirullahal 'azim ~ I do hope my blog and my writings can give something towards all the readers.

May Allah bless all of you and may all of us achieve success in life, either in this world or in the Hereafter. Ameen ~
